It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude George of Corinth, Gros Islet, who passed away on Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 at approximately 4:00pm at her residence in Corinth, Gros Islet. She was 85 years old.
Gertrude was a former teacher and principal of the Micoud Infant School;
Girl Guide leader in the parish of Micoud;
Councillor of the Micoud Village Council;
Coordinator of the Youth Skills Project;
Catechist in the Grand Riviere, Gros Islet Parish;
Religious Knowledge teacher at the St. Mary's College & Corinth Secondary School,
General Secretary of the United Workers Party and
Former Justice of the Peace
The funeral service of the late Gertrude George will be announced in a subsequent broadcast.
The body now lies at Rambally's Funeral Parlour, Calvary Road, Castries
May She Rest In Peace.
