It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we, the Stanislas family, announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, aunty and friend, Josephine Stanislas affectionately known as Arphin or Ma Simon of La Pointe, Mon Repos. She departed this life on Thursday January 01, 2026 at approximately 5:03 p.m. at the St. Jude’s Hospital. She was 92 years old.

The celebration of life for the late Josephine Stanislas affectionately known as Arthin or Ma Simon will be held at the Mon Repos Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday February 08, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
Thereafter, her body will be laid to rest at the Mon Repos Cemetery.
Her body has been entrusted in the care of Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, La Tourney, Vieux Fort.
May she sleep peacefully as she awaits the great resurrection.
