On November 16, 2025, God gently whispered in Mrs. Margaret Haynes Edgar’s ear, “Well done, good and faithful servant” and called her home.
Affectionately known as Andy and Aunty Dantie, she touched countless lives with her kindness, strength and unwavering dedication. She served with love as the Principal of Ave Maria Girls’ Infant School where her nurturing spirit shaped many young hearts. She was 60 years old.

The Memorial Service for Margaret Haynes Edgar affectionately known as Andy, Ding Ding and Aunty Dantie will be held on Wednesday 10th December, 2025 at 2.00 pm at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Thereafter, her body will be laid to rest at the Choc, Cemetery.
Please note that there will be a collection at the memorial service towards the development of Ave Maria Girls’ Infant School.
Margaret Haynes Edgar, also known as Andy, Ding Ding, and Aunty Danty, requests no wreaths or flowers at her memorial service. Instead, kindly make a donation to the Saint Lucia Cancer Society. She also respectfully requested that after the memorial service; everyone go to their respective homes and reflect on her life and sermonette in private.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
