OBITUARIES & CONDOLENCE

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Maynard Kangal, affectionately known as “Polo”, of Fond L’or, Micoud. He departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m. at St. Jude Hospital. He was 45 years old.

He was predeceased by;

His mother, Josephine Kangal, also known as “Alcess”, who similarly departed this life 21 years earlier on August 13th, 2004

His father John Kangal on 20th March, 2020; and

2 elder brothers; William Kangal and Urban Kangal

Left to mourn;

3 Sisters: including special mention to his beloved older sister Catherine Kangal, who stood by him from childhood; during his illness and until

he took his last breathe. You had a bond…. Wednesdays will never be the same again

8 Brothers: including special mention to Gilbert Kangal who rendered assistance and Raphael Kangal who assisted on these early morning runnings and prayed with him

1 Daughter: Nadia Kangal, “Daddy’s Girl”.. you were without a doubt, his pride and joy

His Daughter’s Mother & Best Friend: Natalie Neptune, who stood resolute by his side and cared for him with an unfailing, selfless and genuine love, that words can never truly express

Many nieces and nephews to numerous to mention including special mention of his nieces he was closest to, Peterlyn “PerPer” Jn Paul and Ernette Kangal-Lander, who stood by him through the years till that very last moment and his closest nephew Alvin Kangal who on occasion assisted him.

His Grandniece and Grand Nephews: Aja Lander, Kaj Lander and Jhaelan Thomas….. May the weekly memories shared with “Uncle Polo”, though the years were short, remain etched in your memories forever.

The funeral service for Maynard Kangal also known as “Polo” will be held in accordance with his wishes at Rambally’s Chapel and will be announced in a subsequent broadcast… Thou many who were never around, never cared or never bothered may wish to rant……May his soul rest in perfect Peace

Please note that Catherine has kindly requested that there be no flowers and mourning will be held in private after the service.
