It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved John Hippolyte better known as Chasis, Alibutoo, DoeDoe and Teacher John who passed away on February 7th, 2024 at his Sister’s residence in Barre Denis. He was from the community of Millet but resided in Anse-la-Raye. He was a former teacher of the previously named Millet Combine School for 27 years; but was a Special Reserve Corporal # 42 attached to the office of the Commissioner of Police at the time of his passing. He was 69 years old.

The funeral service for the late John Hippolyte will be held on Thursday, 14th March 2024 at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Church in Castries at 2:30 p.m., and then his body will be laid to rest at the Choc Cemetery.
A bus will be available for residents in Millet at 1:00 p.m.
The body will be available for viewing at the grounds of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on March 14th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The family requests that attendants wear a touch of green.
His body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, Calvary Road, Castries.
