We regret to announce the death of Henry Kappel, originally from Surinam, who previously resided at Notre Dame Street, Gros-Islet but recently resided at the Marian Home. He passed away at the OKEU Hospital on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 9:26 p.m. He was 93 years old. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Confraternity of St. Joseph The Worker Church.
He was predeceased by his wife:
Mary Bernadette Gaspard-Kappel
His Two Brothers:
Frank and Andre
Left to mourn;
His Brothers:
Eugene Kappel of Surinam who is 101 years old
Renee Kapell of Holland
Stepson:
Juan Belmont Blasse in Holland
Stepdaughter:
Octavia Blasse in Florida
Nieces and nephews in Holland and Surinam
Inlaws:
The Gaspard family of Monchy, Riviere Mitant, Babonneau and Gros Islet
Also left to mourn:
Friends from Castries, Gros Islet and its environs especially his neighbors of Notre Dame Street
The Staff and residents of the Marian Home
The Hippolyte family of BelleVue, Cap Estate including his caretaker, Daphne Hippolyte
Many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention
The funeral service for the late Henry Kappel will be held at the St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church at Gros Islet on Monday 27th March, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. His body will be laid to rest at the Gros Islet Cemetery.
His body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, Calvary Road, Castries.
